Initial Character Design

For my supermarket project I need some characters to go in my animation. Since designing isn't my area of interest I decided to ask my classmate if she would help me create them. Anna Picariello drew out these initial alternative designs of an old man for me to decide between; The third from the left particularly looks promising, the dungarees, hat, stance and kind face all add up to vaguely what I envisioned.

This is all she has so far (we haven't had much time together yet) but I would like 4 more characters designing as well; a man at the harbour, a male, female and child alterations of various customers in the supermarket and outdoor market.
